Dandelion wars commence

I cannot recall quite what it was that was originally the “abomination unto the lord” but if it wasn’t Dandelions, then it should have been.  A nastier, sneakier, more unpleasnat plant with ambitions for world domination would be hard to find and so today the annual wars have begun with several sacks-full being uprooted and carted away.  Plenty more where they came from but you have to try.

On a brighter note, the Magnolia at the front is coming into bloom this weekend and we have started the task of moving plants about.  All “real” gardeners will understand that the moving of plants is what gardening is all about.  It’s the usual mad, Quebec spring-into-summer season with plants shooting up at a rate unheard of in countries where winters are not as they are here – you can almost hear some of the pla ts growing.
