There’s a black-form grey squirrel been living in our garden for a few weeks that has a serious balance problem. as he hops across the lawn he wobbles from right to left, weaves about and constantly falls over before picking himself up and moving. Not long for this world we thought but he’s still with us and this morning when I went out he actually rushed up to me so i rather suspect he has a friendly neighbour feeding him – he looks surprisingly chubby. Anyway, I threw him a few bird peanuts and he had no problems working out what to do with them.
Nothing visibly wrong with his legs so it’s either a nerve problem or he could have a pituitary tumour or an inner-ear infection … he is a rodent after all and that’s what rats get.
